This series consists of audio recordings of three sessions that ran in the National Parole Conference held in Washington, D.C. April 17 and 18, 1939. The first session, "Parole" features speaker Sam Lewisohn, and the second session, "The Prosecuting Attorney Looks at Parole," features Assistant Attorney General Brien McMahon and Special Assistant to the Attorney General Gordon Dean. "Objectives of the National Parole Conference," is the third session heard on the recordings, presented by Justin Miller, Associate Justice of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia; and James V. Bennett, Director, Federal Bureau of Prisons.
